A collection of photographic images captured by Rhowena MacCuish. Rhowena is always interested in finding new subjects to photograph.
" I have always been inspired by Black and White photography, the contrast in shades of light and dark I find to be powerfully invoking and often giving a new perspective on a subject matter. The creative and unique works of Vincent O'Byrne were some of the first to catch my eye, and they still continue to be of inspiration to me today. I am proud to say that I have worked with him and value my time in his studio with much love.
I have also found great joy in the wonderful world of botanic's, the colours and the shapes, such delicate and intricate pieces of living art. I admire Ron Van Dongen's works who has ventured from a life of Black and White photography into wonderful colour interpretations of his home grown botanic's.
When left to my own devices I love to get up close and personal with my subjects, capture and expose the fine details that are missed by the naked eye, or find an obscure angle to emphasis or distort a subjects shape."
